Innovation Committee members kicked around ideas on how to take advantage of Lafayette's unique culture while promoting the community's technological bent at this month's meeting.

Committee members are excited to support the Lafayette Entertainment Initiative and Director Marcus Brown to make upcoming entertainment projects more known throughout the community. As one volunteer said, "This is a wonderful blend of what makes this area unique along with the advancement of technology.We should capitalize on it even more in the future."

At issue is the movement to create wealth by developing the cultural economy to expand job opportunities.

The Committee will address branding the community to better promote our assets to those outside the state.
