Energy Committee Meeting Recap: “Haynesville Shale Production Will Continue” - Thursday, May 26, 2011

"The Haynesville Shale play will continue to produce for decades to come.” This is the bullish message Chesapeake Energy Corporation Vice President, Kevin McCotter, presented to the Chamber's Energy Committee today.
McCotter included information on the current and future activity in the Haynesville Shale area. He acknowledged the tremendous amount of work done in north Louisiana by local companies. McCotter also pointed out that last week the Haynesville Shale reached 1,201 producing wells.

The meeting also offered the opportunity for the committee to become more active in the industry's push to convert gasoline fueled fleet vehicles to compressed natural gas. |
