LAGCOE CELEBRATES UL SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING - Monday, June 20, 2011
On March 31, 2011, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's College of Engineering celebrated 2011 Engineering and Technology Week with its annual awards banquet. LAGCOE leadership participated in supporting and recognizing the contributions of the Engineering students.

Winners of awards were: Mr. Jeffery LeBlanc, 2011 Undergraduate Student Paper Contest;

Mohamed ElSaadani, Graduate Student Poster Contest; and Department of Chemical Engineering, Louisiana Engineering Society Student Chapter's "Outstanding Department”.

Lawrence Svendson, Chairman of LAGCOE, commented, "Careers in Engineering are critical to our continued global quest for energy and the technical advancement of our country. It is wonderful to see so many great young minds with interest and desire to excel in engineering fields. We hope the students of today will be Technical Presenters sharing their new discoveries at LAGCOE in the future.”
