U.S. Sen. David Vitter will be in Lafayette Tuesday, Aug. 9, to attend a luncheon with the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.
The luncheon will be held from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the Hilton Lafayette, 1521 W. Pinhook Road.
The senator will also take a tour of Lafayette General Medical Center. A press release says Vitter will check out the hospital's recent improvements and "meet with the hospital board members about the effects of Obamacare."
Before arriving in Lafayette, Vitter will take part in a public forum on spending and debt in Baton Rouge. He will be joined on a panel by Mark Perry, an economist and scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, and Dan Juneau, president of Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.
That event will be held from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at the Central High School Gym, 10200 East Brookside Drive. |
