Vitter Calls For Pro-Growth Economic Policy - Tuesday, August 09, 2011

U.S. Senator David Vitter urged a dual approach to the nation's economic recovery at a chamber luncheon today. The senator said that the country needs real and substantial budget cuts as well as a pro-growth economic policy.
"We need to put everything on the table in discussions of budget cuts,” said Vitter. "National defense is being cut. Entitlements should also be on the cutting block.”
The Louisiana senator also stressed that tax reform would help bring back a robust economy.
Vitter was also presented the Spirit of Enterprise award by the local Chamber on behalf of the United States Chamber of Commerce. The award is given annually to members of congress who support a pro-business agenda. |
